In between Season 6 finale 2F16 - Who Shot Mr. Burns? (Part One) and the Season 7 Premire 2F20 - Who Shot Mr. Burns (Part Two), there was a huge contest based around the question of Who Shot Mr. Burns? Of course, we all now know that it was Maggie but then, no one had any clue as to who it was, except for one guy in the internet who correctly guessed Maggie but he was inellegeable from winning the contest as he hadnt gone through proper channels, according to Springfield's Most Wanted, there were bets running in Vegas on who was the culprit here are the list of odds as shown in the Mirage Hotel, though they didnt use full names that were later revealed or in some cases, correct spelling, this list uses full names and correct spellings, Maggie is also highlighted to indicate her winning odds better.

Jimmy Vaccaro in Springfield's Most Wanted states that viewers should place their money on several long shots including Krusty, Moe and Groundskeeper Willie, however, following the most obvious clue that Krusty was in Reno for six weeks, he would have no real motive or even a weapon to harm Mr. Burns, so how he got a 3/1 rating I'll never know. Also, how characters like Lionel Hutz, Martin, Nelson, Hans Moleman and Miss Hoover appeared in the list, since they were never at the town meeting to even know that Mr. Burns was going to show up.
