Plot
Homer and Bart are chased through the streets of Springfield by an angry mob. Someone has sawed off the head of the statue of town founder Jebediah Springfield. Surrounded by the surly crowd, Bart Pleads for understanding from the crowd. As his story unfolds, we are told that, while trying to fit in with some bad kids from school, Bart saws off the head of the statue. Then after his retelling of why he beheaded the statue, the town learns to appreciate their heritage, and lets Bart free.
