Plot Lisa is told that she will need braces. And at the same time, Mr. Burns cancels the Plants Dental Plan meaning that the Simpsons will need to pay for Lisa's braces. Lisa has horrible braces along with a mouth appliance. Homer is made Union President at the plant and takes the workers on a Strike. Mr. Burns and Smithers try to do all the work himself, and replace them with robots, and even cutting the power don't work, Mr. Burns agrees to Homer that they will restore the Dental Plan if Homer resigns as Union President. Lisa is then given new braces.
