Metal Gear Simpsons: With a Vengeance
Concept By: Leif Jensen and Gary M. Gadsdon
Written By: Gary M. Gadsdon

Authors Notes: This fic came about after I was reading another fan fic over at Fanfiction.net which had Maggie being taken in by the Lovejoys when Bart and Lisa move away to South Park (yes, THAT South Park). I was kinda inspired by it, and it gave the basic concept for this fic, but I wanted a different approach, I wrote my own concept, but Leif also provided some and I mixed the two, using more from Leif's concept than my own. After a while writing I decided to give it the Metal Gear title, and weave in references to the original Metal Gear Solid game. In the Metal Gear Solid canon, this would be placed between Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2, it does contain spoilers for The original game, I suggest you play it before reading beyond Part Four.

Part One - Dead Man Walking
The Simpsons were happy, Homer had just stepped down from his role as the CEO of the Nuclear Power Plant back to his former role of Safety Inspector at sector 7-G. His boss, Mr. Burns, looked on through the window as Homer was playing Baseball in the field with his son, Bart, though Mr. Burns was present, he felt that something was missing now that he had his beloved plant back, a fake reassurance, that everything was going his way.

He went over to his desk and pulled out the phone, which was covered with the last remnants of Homer's donut crumbs. He gives out a shudder, brushes the crumbs off, then dials a number, with the Turkish International Dialling Code.

Mr. Burns hears a dialling tone on the other end of his phone, and eventually there's an answer after several minutes.

"Hello?" responds the other end of the line.
"Yes, This is Charles Montgomery Burns, From Springfield, USA. I would like to bail out one of your prisoners" he somehow responds in Turkish.
"Ah, yes. We would be happy to help you Mr. Burns"
"The Prisoner's name is a Waylon Smithers"
"His Bail will be $300,000 United States Dollar"

Mr. Burns rolls his eyes.

"Very Well," Mr. Burns responds. "I will hand over the money at Atatürk International Airport"
"Very Well then. We will bring the prisoner with us to the airport"

Mr. Burns then hangs up the phone. He knows how long it takes for a Flight across the Atlantic ocean is, so he prepares to go to Springfield Airport to get on his private jet immediately.

In Istanbul, Mr. Burns leaves his plane and finds Waylon Smithers still handcuffed and being held by two Turkish security guards in the terminal runway.

"Here is your prisoner Mr. Burns"
"And here is his bail"

Mr. Burns hands over several wads of cash. Who would've thought that bailing a man out of prison would be so expensive. The guards unhandcuff Smithers and he runs up to Mr. Burns.

"Thank you, Mr. Burns"
"Yes, yes. Now get on the plane"

Smithers does so, followed by Mr. Burns, not caring about thanking the guards. The attendants on board the plane closes the door, and a refuelling tank arrives to refuel the plane. Mr. Burns and Smithers sit around in the plane while they wait.

"Smithers, I have discovered a new way to reuse Nuclear Waste into a new more expensive energy source, with it, we can make billions"
"Fabulous sir, perhaps we can get the environmentalists off our back about it"
"Perhaps, that's just a side benefit."

But what Mr. Burns did not know is that Homer had the plane fitted with a camera to feed directly to the family in the dinning room while he was away on business deals. Since the signal was wireless, it was prone to interception.

We cut away to a group of computer hackers sitting around on computers, watching the video from inside of Mr. Burns's plane. They are shocked at what they are hearing.

"Hey, boss," one of the computer geeks says "you had better take a look at this."

A man, with long blond hair and a beard, wearing a blue T-Shirt and black joggers walks behind him and the guy on the computer shows him the feed from inside of Mr. Burns's plane.

"Well, maybe it's about time that he started to do something for the environment."
"Yes, but if this new energy source is more expensive, this could result in a national economy crisis."
"I guess so. I have trouble enough already having to pay my bills, the country could be broke within a week."
"So what do we do?"
"We have to stop him."
"How do we do that?"
"Dont you worry about that, I have an idea"

A few weeks later, in Mr. Burns's office, the blond guy walks into Mr. Burns's office.

"Hello, Mr. Burns"
"Who the devil are you?"
"My name is not important"
"To me it is"
"This wont take long enough for names to be an issue"
"Very well, what is this all about then"
"A few weeks ago, we heard that you were planning to create a new nuclear power source, is this correct?"
"Yes."
"We must formally request that you cease these activities"
"And I must decline"

The blond guy looks fuming.

"Well lets just see what you say when you have no employees to help you with the endevour"
"What in blazes do you mean"
"You will see."

The blond guy leaves. Outside Mr. Burns's office there is another one of the Blond Guy's henchmen.

"He's not willing to back down. Prepare phase two."
"Yes, sir"

The guy gets out a radio and places it to his mouth.

"Begin phase two" he says into the radio.
"Roger that" the other end responds.

We cut away to the Simpson home where Marge is in the kitchen washing dishes, Homer is on the couch and Bart, Lisa and Maggie are upstairs. The doorbell rings.

"Marge, get the door!" Homer yells from the living room.
"Cant you get it" Marge yells back.
"Awww... but this is the best bit"
"Hrrrmmmm. Fine."

Marge stops washing the dishes, dries her hands then answers the door.

"Yes, can I help you."

The person at the door is dressed in a full on black suit, with neck length brown hair.

"Hi ma'am. I am here on official Nuclear Power Plant Business for Mr. Burns, is your husband home?" the man says calmly.
"Yes, he's in the living room, would you like to come in"
"Thank you"

The man enters the house, and follows Marge into the living room.

"Homer Simpson?"
"Yes, that's me" Homer responds
"I'm here take care of some business"
"What business would that be?"
"This."

The man quickly pulls out a pistol from his pocket.

"What's going on" Homer responds
"You don't need to know"

The man fires two bullets into Homer's chest. He grabs his chest as a reflex action then collapses to the ground unconscious. Upstairs, Bart hears the gunshots and quickly enters Lisa's room where Lisa and Maggie are playing with Lisa's Malibu Stacy Dolls.

"Lis, quick, hide, I just heard gunshots from downstairs"
"What? Are you sure"
"Yes, I'm sure. I'm going to investigate"
"No Bart! It'd be too dangerous!" Lisa pleaded, grabbing his arm.
"Lis, don't worry. I'll be fine."

Downstairs, a pool of blood had now formed around Homer's body.

"What is the meaning of this?" Marge said crying over Homer's lifeless body.
"Like I said, I am here on business"
"And that involves killing my husband?!" Marge shouted.
"No Ma'am," He said, raising his gun at Marge. "You too"

He fired into Marge's heart once. She collapses on top of Homer. The guy then walks out the door as Bart sneaks out of Lisa's bedroom door and hides around the corner of the landing at the top of the stairs.

"Okay Lis, I think the coast is clear"
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, I just saw the guy left"

Lisa turns to Maggie.

"Now, Maggie you stay here, it could still be dangerous downstairs" trying not to sound too worried.

Maggie acknowledges with a suck on her pacifier. But Maggie could detect that Lisa was worried. Bart and Lisa leave the room and head downstairs looking around the house. Nothing seems out of place until they reach the living room where they find their parents lifeless on the ground, Bart gasps.

"Oh God!" Lisa cries, running up to Homer and Marge.

Lisa quickly discovers what happened to them, and both she and Bart start crying, but Bart also had a hint of anger in his eyes.

"What kind of an asshole would do this" he thought.
"Well, Bart. What do we do now? We're orphans"
"I don't know Lis. I don't know."

Bart, quickly turns around then walks out the front door.

"Bart! Where are you going?" Lisa yells after him.

But he was already outside running towards the Flanders house. Still with tears in his eyes, he knocks on the door. Flanders answers the door and from the look on Bart's face, he can automatically tell that something terrible has happened.

"Oh My Stars! Bart! What's wrong" Flanders said in shock.
"Mr. Flanders, my Mom and Dad have been shot!" Bart said, crying slightly.
"Oh heavens!"
"We don't know what to do"
"Dont you worry, Good Ol' Neddy will take care of you" Flanders had hoped that would help revive Bart's spirit but it didn't work, as he'd half expected. Homer had tried to do the same thing when his wife, Maude passed away. "You go back inside, and I'll call 911"

Bart returns to the Simpson Living room, where Maggie is now present, who is also crying.

"She was getting a little scared about being upstairs by herself" Lisa said, "I tried not to bring her in here, but she walked in on her own"
"It's okay Lis. She would've found out sooner or later" Bart said. "I went to Flanders, he's calling the police right now."

Suddenly Homer starts to move, but very weakly. Bart, Lisa and Maggie look at him in shock.

"DAD!" Both Bart and Lisa cry.
"K-k-kids?" Homer said weakly.
"We're here dad, save your energy" Lisa responded.
"No, I'm done for kids..." he continued, with slight coughs of blood occurring. "just remember that you three have always been special."
"Thanks, dad" Bart replied, crying.
"This is the first time I've seen you cry like that boy." He replied, trying to smile.

Lisa seizes the moment to gather any vital information.

"Dad, who did this to you, can you tell us any clues" Lisa said, hastily.
"All I can remember about him Lisa," Homer said weekly "is that he had a grey bandanna and neck length brown hair..."
"Can you tell us anything else?"
"I'm sorry Lisa, but that's all I can give you" Homer said, coughing up blood "Goodbye Kids, you'll be with us forever.."

Homer then collapses his head back onto the floor, not breathing. Bart and Lisa collapse to their knees in grief.

The kids move into the kitchen, still in shock about what happened, and cover Homer and Marge with blankets. A few minutes later, Flanders arrives, along with Chief Wiggum and an ambulance crew. While the Ambulance crew tend to Homer and Marge, Chief Wiggum talks to the kids in the kitchen.

"Now kids, don't you worry, we'll catch this guy"
"Chief Wiggum, we know your track record." Bart responds
"I mean it this time. Did you happen to see the guy?"
"I only managed to catch a glimpse of him as he left the house, he was wearing either a suit or a tuxedo" Bart answers
"Dad also managed to tell us that he had neck length brown hair, and a bandanna" Lisa continues
"You got anything else"
"Sadly, we don't." Replied Lisa.
"So now what do we do?" Asked Bart
"Dont worry little buddy," said Flanders "we'll decide that later. Until then you can stay at my house"
"Thanks, Mr. Flanders"

Several days later the entire Simpson family, attended the funeral service for Homer and Marge, even Homer's Mother Mona, who had been on the run from the law for several decades. Pretty much most of the family was crying, but at a funeral, who wouldn't. Bart was trying his best to hold back his emotions, but eventually he had to give in, after all at a funeral, even the best of us get emotional.

"Homer and Marge Simpson, welcome to heaven!" Said a voice that sounded rather familiar to Homer somehow.

The Angel walked on into a reception like area covered with marble pedistals, and plant life. Or is that plant death? Whichever.

"Oh great, it's you again" responded Homer
"Homer, do you know this guy?" questioned Marge
"Kind of. The last time I came to heaven, he showed me around"
"How could you have been in heaven before? It's like a one way trip"
"Remember when I predicted the rapture? I managed to talk God into letting me go back to earth" Homer answered.
"So, uh.. What do we do now?" Marge asked the angel guy.
"Well first, you call me Andre" he replies "And lets get you some clothes"
"I told you last time! I'm comfortable like this"
"And like I said last time, this is heaven for everyone"

Homer, Marge and Andre are now on a floating moving cloud as he shows them around.

"Homer, you've already seen most of this stuff"
"Hey, is the water slide open yet"
"I said not to use Leprechaun Labour"
"D'oh!"

Andre shows Homer and Marge to their bedroom.

"If you need anything, just call the front desk and ask for Andre"
"Sure thing, pal" Homer says.

Andre leaves the room.

"Homie, I'm worried about the kids" Marge said
"Marge, we're dead, what can we do?"
"Nothing I guess, but I would liked to have seen them grow up"
"That can be arranged"
"How?" Asks Marge.

Just then a TV pops out from the clouds that are acting as the floor. A Remote Control somehow pops into Homer's hand.

"If I remember correctly, Earth is channel 23"

Homer clicks on the remote and it switched to channel 23. On the screen is a picture of Bart, Lisa and Maggie as well as the rest of the family attending Homer and Marge's own funeral.

On Earth, it took only takes a couple of days pass before the Government show up at the Flanders house.

"Well, howdy stranger, what can I diddily do you for?" Flanders says answering the door.
"Sir, my name is Agent Tompson, from the FBI. Are a Bartholomew, Lisa and Margaret Simpson present at this residence?"

Agent Tompson, wore a long black suit, with short brown hair no longer than that of Flanders's own. He also had a brown beard.

"Why, yes, they are. Would you like to come in."
"Thank you"

The agent walks into the house and Flanders closes the door. Bart and Lisa are in the living room watching Itchy and Scratchy, Flanders wouldn't normally let the kids watch it, but he's giving Bart and Lisa a break, good news is that Rod and Todd aren't in the room, so they aren't exposed to such needless violence.

"Bart, Lisa. Agent Tompson from the FBI here is to see you" says Flanders.
"What's up?" asks Bart.
"Kids, in the interest of your personal safety, the Government has decided to split you three kids up."

"WHAT?!" Responds Marge as she's watching the television feedback.

Homer is half asleep unaware of what's going on.

"Huh? Wha?" Homer mumbles as he's waking up.
"The FBI is planning to separate the kids!" Marge shouts at him.
"Well, Maybe it's for the best" Homer responds.
"What are you saying Homer!"
"Hear me out Marge. You think that the bastard that killed us would come after the kids? With the three seperated, it'll be much harder for him to find them" Homer explains
"I guess you're right... But still"
"I know Marge. But I think this would be better for them. Besides, what can we do?"

Back in the Flanders house, Bart, Lisa and Flanders all just stare at Agent Tompson in shock.

"Why are you doing that?" Asks Bart
"It's for your own protection. We fear that the guy who killed your parents could come back. So we have decided to separate you kids until the case is resolved"
"Why not just relocate us to the same spot?" Asks Lisa
"It's not that simple. If he found one of you, he would kill all three of you in one go, this way it'll be harder. That and we've already found foster parents for you two."
"Wait, so where's Maggie going to go?" Questioned Lisa
"Dont worry, she'll be staying in Springfield"
"No. I want Maggie to come with me"
"Sorry, Lisa. But no can do. Besides the family that'll you'll be moving into doesn't want a baby."
"That's just sick and wrong" Replies Bart "If she cant go with Lisa, then she'll come with me"
"Again, you fall under the same circumstances as Lisa, sorry kids, but none of this can be changed"
"Damn it" Exclaims Bart. "Wait, what? Did you say a second ago that Lisa and me would be leaving Springfield?"
"That is correct"

Bart and Lisa stare at each other with conflicted emotions, they both don't know how to react to the fact that they are both being forced to split and leave Springfield at the same time.

"Bart - You will be moving in with the Warmond Family, in Wrighton. Lisa you will be moving in with the Benmond Family at Gadsdon Falls. Maggie'll be taken in by Moe Syzlak"
"At least Maggie is going with someone who cares about her" said Lisa.
"That's basically what I needed to say. I will be back next Monday to come pick you kids up. I'll see myself out Mr. Flanders"

Agent Tompson leaves the house.

"I know this sounds harsh Lis, but maybe it'll do Maggie some good if I wasn't here to hold her back" Bart said.

Lisa was shocked. She couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"Bart are suggesting on leaving Maggie and not returning to Springfield?!"
"I don't know Lis. But you and I both know that I wont be able to help either of you out later in life. Maybe it's best that I just stayed out of it..."
"No Bart. Would you have stayed out of Maggie's life at the first opportunity you got if Mom and Dad were alive?"
".........no" replies Bart
"Exactly. All we can do now, is just spend as much time with Maggie. For who knows, We may never get to see her again"

The next few days passed by rather quickly for Bart and Lisa. Moe came by a couple of times to play with Maggie before taking her to his place on Friday, Bart and Lisa went with him that day to continue spending as much time with their baby sister as possible. Bart and Lisa went back to the Flanders house on Sunday night. The night went slowly. Neither Bart nor Lisa could sleep, worried about their futures, and the fact that they may never see Maggie again.

"Bart?" said Lisa.
"Yeah Lis." he answered
"Do you have a key to our house"
"Yeah."
"Could I borrow it?"
"What for?"
"I want to go get my sax"

Bart went to the chest of drawers where he pulled out a small box. Inside it was a key. He handed the key to Lisa.

"Here."

Lisa put on a pair of slippers and snuck downstairs, the house was quiet. Not even Flanders was awake. Lisa crept out the front door, but left it ajar so that she could get back in. She walked across the lawn and up to her own house that she had lived in up until just about a week ago. Using the key Bart gave her, she opened the front door sucessfully. As she entered the house, she felt a small sense of warmth go down her spine. The house though, was dark. No one had been inside it for several days. Lisa headed straight to her room, packed her sax, and then started to look around the house at the memories, wondering what would happen to the house now that everyone was practically gone. She decided that she should get back to the Flanders house.

The following morning came. Eventually. Bart and Lisa, well mostly Lisa, were nervous about what their new foster parents would be like. Bart was confident that his would be no more different that Homer and Marge were, and that he could play them like chumps for being unfamiliar with his antics, though Lisa could detect that he was nervous inside.

Agent Tompson showed up after what seemed like an age. He escorted the kids out into his car with their suitcases and took them to the local Springfield FBI headquarters.

Bart and Lisa are pulled into a room, with a TV, Video Game Consoles and toys.

"Kids, before we go to Wrighton and Gadsdon Falls, I'll need to get some stuff for you to look at"

Bart turns on the video game console and starts to play a game that's quite reminiscent of Super Mario Bros for the NES. Lisa just sat there watching him play the game. Bart got through the first couple of levels quite easily. Eventually, Agent Tompson returned back to the room with a pile of papers and photographs.

"Now kids, I know how hard being separated must be for you. But just because you're no longer living in the same house, doesn't mean you cant still talk to each other. Here are the phone numbers for you to call each other on, and a pair of Government paid cell phones. We have already programmed Moe's number in for you. Bart, here are photos and information about the Warmond Family, and Lisa here's some info on the Benmond Family."
"How long will it be until we can return to Springfield?" asks Lisa
"Only until we solve this case" answered Agent Tompson.
"How long can that take?" asked Bart
"We don't know, we hope that it doesn't take too long."
"Oh" Responds Bart.
"So are you two ready or should we wait a little longer"
"Can we wait a little longer, sir?" asks Lisa.
"Sure thing. Just let me know when you're ready. I'll be in my office next door"

Agent Tompson leaves the room.

"Why did you say that Lis?" asks Bart
"Why do you think Bart?"

Bart just shrugs.

"I know we may not get a long most of the time," Lisa adds "but you're my brother. I'll miss you..."
"I'll miss you to Lis..."

Bart and Lisa give each other a hug. There's a sense of awkwardness before Bart pushes Lisa away, with an embarrassed look on his face. Lisa laughs at him.

"Oh Bart, you should've seen the look on your face!" laughs Lisa.
"Lets just go already..." says Bart embarrassed.

Bart shuts down the console, and heads next door to Agent Tompson's room.

"Well kids, ready to go?" Asks Agent Tompson.
"Yes sir" replies Lisa
"Yep" adds Bart
"Okay then"

The kids follow Agent Tompson to his car, with their new cell phones, photographs and documents. Agent Tompson starts to drive the kids to their new lives...
