Plot
While finding a fortune cookie that indicates that today will be Homer's lucky day, Lenny advises him that he would be a fool not to take advantage of it by not buying a lottery ticket when he is supposed to be at a family wedding.
In a rush, Homer takes his eyes off the road for a moment, and he is sent plummeting over the cliff. Waking up in a hospital, where Marge forgives him. It also turns out that the lottery ticket was a winning one, of $1 million.
Homer realises that he cant tell Marge about it or else she would know why he missed the wedding, so he has Barney pose as the winner to claim the money. Barney says that he cant spend any of the money either, so instead, he buys his family gifts leaving them in places where they can be found.
Bart finds out and starts to bribe Homer. Eventually Homer has enough of Bart's bribery and decides to tell Marge himself.
Meanwhile at the Old Folk's home, Lisa discovers how bored they are and buys them a Nintendo Wii.
