Plot Homer and Marge's romantic date night is changed when Mr. Burns tells Homer, Lenny and Carl to stay late at the Power Plant to fix a leak. Homer makes it up to Marge by taking her out for a game of Curling citing that it's the best of two worlds, Bowling for him and sweeping for her.

The two prove to work well together and are invited to play for the Springfield team alongside the Skinners.

Skinner says to Homer and Marge that Mixed-Curling has been added to the demonstration games in Vancouver. They play for the right to represent the United States and win.

In Vancouver, Lisa is given an Olympic pin and feels that the one she was given feels lonely thus buys another one. Quickly it becomes an obsession. Even going far enough to trade her pearls for one.

At the games, Marge breaks her arm during the Semi-Final, and the United States have to withdraw. While packing, Homer notices that Marge is really skilled with her left hand, Marge says that she's left-handed, but became ambidextrous to avoid being unusual. The Simpsons agree to continue, and play for the gold medal match, winning.

Bart finds Lisa busking on a street corner, and agrees to help her overcome her obsession, and gets her pearls back by giving the pin seller a fake pin of "Fatov" the mascot of the 2014 Winter Olympic games on Sochi Russia.
