Plot
When Homer tries to smuggle a Candy Apple into a Bank, he is accused of holding it up for Robbery and is forced to do Community Service. While attending such service, he offers Chief Wiggum a sandwich, and the two form a friendship. The two start spending time as friends since Wiggum doesn't have any proper friends of his own since he's a cop, but their moment is cut short when Chief Wiggum is called to stop a robbery by Fat Tony. Wiggum is shot and is admitted to hospital where Homer keeps a bedside vigil until Wiggum awakes.
When he does awake, Wiggum becomes needy and Homer has enough, needing some time away from Chief Wiggum. When Wiggum finds Homer at Moe's he gets upset and storms away leading Lou and Eddie to be unable to find him. Homer manages to do so, and Fat Tony is discovered to be counterfeiting Lacoste shirts, and Homer and Wiggum are captured.
Homer believes that Clancy can figure out a way to set them free, by changing the CDs in the CD player in the boot, this angers Fat Tony and Homer and Chief Wiggum escape. The two then pester Flanders with the Police Helicopter.
Meanwhile, Bart becomes addicted to a new Japanese Trading Card game called Battle Ball, but Marge and Principal Skinner believe he may be doing drugs.
