Plot CHEIF WIGGUM, P.I.: Chief Wiggum leaves Springfield to set up a detective shop in New Orleans. Shortly after arriving, Ralph is kidnapped by Big Daddy. Chasing Big Daddy though the streets during Mardi Gras, Chief Wiggum recover Ralph. Chief Wiggum lets Big Daddy go.

LOVE-MATIC GRAMPA: Grampa is killed while shopping for some cans, floats up towards heaven but gets lost along the way and comes back as Moe's Love Tester. Grampa gives Moe a challenge to woo the next woman who walks through his doors. He woos a young woman named Betty. Wanting Grampa's during his date, he stashes him in the Men's room. Betty discovers Moe's Plan but is flattered by his efforts.

THE SIMPSONS SMILE TIME VARIETY HOUR: All of the Simpsons, except Lisa, participate in a number of musical comedy skits, joined by Special Guest Tim Conway (as himself) playing a clan of beavers and 1950's teenyboppers.
