Plot The Springfield Elementary school band is entered into a contest at the state fair, where Lisa tells Mr. Largo that Stars and Stripes forever wont win the judges, so they come up with something new. At the contest, a school plays Stars and Stripes forever, but then display glow tubes, which are against the rules, Lisa writes a letter to President Clinton, who overthrows the judges and gives Lisa the trophy. Meanwhile, Homer and Bart return from the fair with a diving horse named Duncan, in order for Duncan to earn his keep, Homer and Bart enter Duncan in as a racehorse. At first intimidated by the other horses, Duncan is given a new persona as Furious D. D is aggressive and will intimate the other horses instead, eventually, the other jockey's send Homer through a long tube to an underground lair where they are really elves. They threaten Homer to lose, but Homer refuses, and Furious D wins, the elves chase Homer and Bart and with Marge and Lisa's help, they are defeated.
