Plot When Apu starts to enjoy his bachelorhood, the time for his arranged marriage has arrived, but Apu doesn't want to go through with it, so Homer tells him to lie. Apu's mother comes to Springfield, hastily, Homer tells Apu that he can pretend that Marge is his wife, while Homer hides out at the Retirement Castle. When Homer rejoins Marge, Apu's Mother walks in and is shocked to see Homer in bed and Apu on the floor. She quickly starts preparations for the wedding. Apu tells Homer that only the Gods can stop the wedding and tries to disguise himself as Ganesh. Apu learns that his wife-to-be, Manjula is a witty, beautiful woman, so they actually marry.
