Plot Homer loses it with Santa's Little Helper after he chews up his brand new trainers. Marge enrolls Santa's Little Helper into a obedience school or they'll have to get rid of him. Bart takes him to the school but Santa's Little Helper makes no progress. Homer still decides that they have to get rid of the dog, but agrees with Bart and Lisa that if Santa's Little Helper passes his final exam he can stay. Bart tries tirelessly to get Santa's Little Helper to obey, but to no avail. on the night before the exam, Bart tells the dog that if only he can sit he can stay with the family, unexpectedly, Santa's Little Helper does.Bart gives the dog other commands with he also follows, the next day Santa's Little Helper passes the exam.
