Plot Its the start of the school year for Bart and Lisa. To start the year off, Principal Skinner holds a test within a month to determine how much money the school will get for years to come. Lisa is excited about the test, but Bart doesn't try, in fact, on a practice test, he writes "Slurp my Snot" on the answer sheet, which for some reason, gets a perfect score, and Bart is then exempt from the test, and is taken to a Pizza Party. Lisa is devastated that Bart beat her.

Quite quickly, Bart discovers that it's a sham, and he's being taken downtown along with Nelson, Jimbo, Kearney, Dolph and Ralph with Principal Skinner where they try to find their way back after the bus is stripped for parts while they were at a gas station. At school, Lisa breaks down and is unable to take the test properly. Just as time is about to run out Principal Skinner arrives to cancel the test having learned the real way that students learn by watching him run around in circles on a shipping container.

At the same time, Homer has to avoid all forms of harm after forgetting to mail his health insurance.
