Plot In a championship baseball match in the Springfield Isatots and Shelbyville, Bart drops the ball and costs the team the championship. Bart is shunned by Springfield. Feeling depressed, Bart spays "I hate Bart Simpson" all over Springfield. Jumping off a distillery, Bart falls into a coma. Marge arranges a fake game to make Bart feel better about himself, it works. Bart feels better and is still gloating about it to Milhouse sixty years later. Meanwhile (in the present ) Homer becomes a mattress salesman after falling asleep in Costingtons Department Store.
