Plot The Simpsons go to a tailgating party where Homer and Bart constantly steal other people's food. To keep herself occupied, Lisa works on her homework, a video on the beauty of everyday. The teacher initially gives her a 3 out of 5, so she complains to Principal Skinner who overrules the rating. Principal Skinner gives her the key to the AV Cage, so that she can make a film on her family.

Superintendent Chalmers and Principal Skinner support Lisa's film and she submits it into Sundance. Lisa's film gets in. The family go to Park City, Utah.

There, Lisa's film, "Capturing The Simpsons" premieres, the film shows the family in all of it's dysfunction, the crowd enjoyed the film, praising Lisa, but the Family does not approve. Comic Book Guy posts a review of the film online as Homer tries to capture the Wi-Fi beams.

The Family begins to not talk to Lisa. She begins to conclude that she is the real monster that the film exposed. Lisa meets with Jim Jarmusch (voiced by himself) who shows her another film by Nelson Muntz. Lisa learns that fads come and go, and that she should be proud for making a great movie.
